May be you have the 32 bit version? When I install from the download, it says "Cannot install 'libqt4-dbus:i386' Yep that's ubuntu. We had teh same problem with each ubuntu upgrade but skype does work ok on precise. Skype only comes in i386 flavour. You will have to google for how to do it. Roger
