How do I stop fglrx from updating?

:-)

I don't mind menus either way. When you mostly use Alt-F, O or Ctrl-S,
it doesn't really matter where they are - I don't even look at them.

I do object to having to try to guess and type a unique substring of a
command to use it, but then I can just ignore the HUD...
