Multimedia Volume Keys on Keyboard Stopped Working

Hi All,

I have suddenly noticed the volume keys (Mute, Volume Up / Down) on my
multimedia wireless keyboard stopped working...

I have tried to re-map them in the Keyboard settings and replacing the
batteries - no dice. All other keys work. It's a Logitech K400 Wireless
Keyboard.

Any pointers as of what to check and how to get it to work?

I use them quite a lot as a "remote" for the Internet while connected to my
TV and playing YouTube and such.
