Actually, I was mistaken in regards to XRandR. Multi-GPU support was
introduced in XRandR 1.4. The 304.125 driver only supports up to 1.3.
The latest driver for your GeForce 6200 is the 304.125, so using
XRandR 1.4 is not possible. You'll have to use Xinerama which is going
to cause a major hit to hardware acceleration.
Since Xinerama only permits direct-rendering on one screen, this is
probably why the other screen was grey/black.
Upgrading the card is probably the only viable solution at this point.
