Firefox sending huge mystery

I suggest restarting firefox and seeing whether the transmission
restarts.  Close tabs one at a time until you find which page is doing
it (if any).  That may give you a clue.
If the transmission does not restart then consider the tabs you have
open anyway.  Are any of those ones that seem likely to be sending
data anywhere?
