Trusty Boot Problems Vaio Fit

Hi everyone,
need some help on an issue which came up installing Trusty on a Sony Vaio Fit
11A. So far I was able to install the system to the hard drive booting from an
USB connected external CD-ROM drive. After the install process was successful
finished the system boots up in the recovery mode only until the lines "udev
start/running, process 227". Afterwards it just stops booting further. Tried
different things but I am just a bit lost. This happens also no matter if UEFI
is switched on or off. Same results, same procedure.
Additional note: On the final stage of the installation process pressing the
enter key to reboot the system ended up in not being recognized by
the system. Laptop on/off was the way to move forward.
Any ideas how to manage this???
Thanks
Holger
