Hi,

I have two very recent HP Elitebook laptops for a client. I'm planning
to install Elementary OS 0.2 Luna on it, which is basically Ubuntu 12.04
LTS under the hood, with a custom desktop environment.

Ubuntu 12.04's stock kernel doesn't support the NIC, so I have no
network. What's the easiest way to upgrade the kernel? Here's how I
figure it:

1. Manually download a newer kernel for 12.04.
2. Copy it over to the laptop with a USB stick.
3. Install it using dpkg -i.
4. Run update-grub.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

cheers,

Niki
