The kernel in 14.04 does now support "fakepae" which means it will
work on non-PAE CPUs. However, I tried it on my old IBM Thinkpad X31
with a Pentium-M 1.6GHz CPU and lots of other things failed -- no
Wifi, incorrect screen settings, screen corruption on resume from
suspend, etc. So I went back to LXLE, which works fine.
