LiveCD won't run on my Toshiba notebook

Most likely this is  problem with the video card. You will have to
find out what video card you use. Ubuntu boot CD/DVD has a menu so you
can modify the video card by pressing the F# key for videos. Or you
may have to modify the kernel boot prompt.
