Quick update. I think that 13.10 is now in the beta stage - is that correct?

This serious bug is /still/ present, 6mth later.

Mind you, it has been since 11.04, I think, so perhaps I am foolish to
expect to be able to control Ubuntu's office suite with the keyboard
LIKE I CAN WITH EVERY OTHER UBUNTU APPLICATION.
