too sensitive, shaky mouse

Does it do it on other computers/OSes?

It is a mechanical mouse or an optical (laser-LED) one?

If the former, remove the ball and clean the rollers that track the
ball's rotation.

If it's an optical one, clean the lens, paying special attention for
hairs in the sensor area, which can have this effect.
