Nautilus sharing not preserved

I used nautilus to set up rw file sharing [anyone] on a couple of dirs
in a 12.04 box. Worked OK, but sharing disappeared when the box was
turned off/on. Set up with admin acct for a user acct. How can I get
nautilus sharing to 'stick'?
