There should be no difference between installing from the "Install
Ubuntu" option in the boot menu of the ISO and installing via the
"Install Ubuntu" launcher in the live session. I think the difference
is in using the "Install updates during installation" option or
whatever it's called, PRESUMING that there is an updated kernel that
includes a driver.
That or hooking the system up via cat-5 after install and then doing
the update to latest SRU packages and/or running jockey to install 3rd
party drivers.
That said, 12.04.3 may also work as it, IIRC has the same or later
kernel than 13.04 so should include the same hardware support.
