Laptop network works intermittently

According to lspci:

Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection

(Sorry for the delay - I'm on vacation....)

The weird part is that it comes and goes now, more consistent lately.

I suppose it could just be the position where the laptop is sitting,
but the first three times (worked, failed, worked) it was in the same
place.
