Don't bother waiting.  Download the Beta and go for it.  It is on late
beta now and if you install it you will get the updates to bring it up
to release level as soon as they are available.  I have been running
on saucy for weeks with very few problems.  Of course a new version is
always prone to teething troubles for a couple of months, but it will
still be better that the previous version for you, as that does not
work for you at all.
