This begs the question of which versions of USB are involved in this
setup of yours? For example, USB 3 is backward compatible with USB 2 but
I not sure if it is with USB 1.1. And I don't think USB 1 will work with
USB 3.
Also, how many devices are using the same USB port? If there are, say, 2
devices then one of them will miss out if the other one is using the USB
port.
