Open with – some of my scripts are missing in the list…

I want to add one of my scripts for opening a certain type of files. In
Nautilus, when one or more files of the certain type is highlighted I want
to right click, then click Open with → MyScript
I could do this before, but I don't remember how.
I use Ubuntu 12.04 and here's how I think I did it before:
▸ Right click a file of the certain file type.
▸ Click ”Properties”.
▸ Click ”Open with” tab.
▸ Click ”Show other programs” (or something like that – I run Ubuntu in
Swedish)
And there I think I could find my script, which is located in ~/bin. But
it's not there. I already associated a few other scripts with certain file
types, and they are there, so obviously I could do this some time ago…
And there is no way to enter the name and location of my script manually
either.
I know I can achieve the same thing (with one click more needed in
Nautilus) with Nautilus Actions, but that's not what this question is about
this time.
