No ethernet connection with new instal of 12.04 desktop on Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop - lshw says "network unclaimed"

	Does the install show if additional drivers were installed for the 
ethernet adapter? If so, try removing those.
	As a temporary work-around, do you have a USB network adapter?
