I'll second that general feeling. I don't mind a small tax for using a 
good, well supported distro, and if enough of us do it, then "Uncle Mark" 
shouldn't have a problem meeting payroll.  10 cents? Do like the NRA does, 
round it up to the next buck.  You'll find surprisingly little resistance 
to that as long as its 100% voluntary.  A simple click to enable, a simple 
click to disable.
