Raring backport kernel for 12.04

I have seen others comment that there was a raring backport kernel for
the current LTS in the repos, but I couldn't "see" it. I just thought
I'd mention that it suddenly became available for me this weekend just
passed.
I have installed the linux-generic-lts-raring metapackage, as this
includes the kernel headers as well, which you need for some other
apps, such as VirtualBox, VMware Player and the proprietary nVidia
graphics drivers.
Once I'd confirmed that 3.8.0 was working, I removed
linux-generic-lts-quantal and also linux-image-generic-3.5.0-30, the
latest kernel image which is what I was running before. I removed all
the previous 3.5.0 images before installing the Raring image.
Interestingly, when I installed 12.04-2 I got the Quantal kernel
(3.5.0) by default. When I originally installed 12.04, I got the
Precise kernel, 3.2.0. I wasn't expecting the updated one without
asking, but that's what I got.
(I reinstalled 12.04 because sadly 12.10 and later do not support my
Radeon RV620 GPU any more. Despite 12.04-2 coming with an updated X
server, also labelled a Quantal backport, it seems to work fine.)
