Long startup timings...

Hi

I am using Ubuntu 13.04 on Lenovo G560 notebook. My issue is with startup &
shutdown times :

Ubuntu 12.10 -- 30 sec (startup time) -- 10+ sec (shutdown time)
Ubuntu 13.04 -- 30 sec (startup time) -- 5 sec (shutdown time)

What about your boot & shutdown timings? Should startup time be so long?
