13.04 64bit on Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook

I've created a startup disk on a USB stick from the Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit
ISO. I'm trying to boot this on an Dell Ultrabook XPS 13, but it just
comes up a with 'boot:' prompt. There doesn't seem to be anyway in the
BIOS of this machine top eo enable UEFI booting which is what is setup
on the USB stick (checked out OK on my desk top machine booting in UEFI
mode).

So, how can I enable UEFI booting on the Ultrabook?

Or how can I build a boot disk that uses legacy boot mode?
