I found some info on the internet and manually set the smb.conf file the
way I was instructed. Then used the sudo restart smbd and the smbd.
Then I signed into the samba shares from the windows laptop.
I could see all the directories I set up in the config file but I
couldn't access them.
It took me a couple of hours of fooling around to remember I had to set
the permissions on the folders I wanted to share lol.
Now every thing is working great, so as soon as I back up all the data
on the windows drive I will do a system wide install of Ubuntu 12.04
lts.
