no luck with flash with either firefox or chrome

Maybe partly related ... sometimes yesterday I noticed that some
websites wouldn't load and even hang Chrome on a 12.04 installation (at
the same time it worked with Chrome in a WIN7 virtual machine).

Had some time to investigate today and found out ...

Chromium (25.0.1364.160)
Firefox (19.0.2)
Konqueror (4.8.5)
Opera (11.62)
rekonq (0.9.1)

show no problems whatsoever.

Chrome (24.0.1312.52) does.

I suspected some trouble with flash so I reinstalled flash on 12.04 ...
to no avail. While the other browsers work just fine Chrome hangs and
for the time being is not usable for me.
