extract here (xfce)

I'm running 12.10 on older hardware, so only have xfce and not, well, 
unity or whatever the current fancy GUI is.

In any event, I don't seem to have the option to right click an archive 
(tar.gz, zip, jar) and select "extract here".  How can I configure that 
option?

Or, is that GNOME/KDE only kind of stuff?
