Mysql on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - access denied for user at localhost

I haven't done a fresh install for a while, but I'd try 'sudo mysql' from
command line. The default is root is admin with no password on Ubuntu
(sounds crazy). Other mysql utilities should work the same.
