OK, I have to admit that I didn't actually try to install k3b on a non-
KDE machine before I posted that "only a few KDE-libs". Actually I only
checked with "apt-cache depends k3b" and got a rather short list. So now
I installed xubuntu in virtualbox and indeed there is a huge download
necessary to install a single application. I have no idea why k3b should
need nepomuk and so many other things installed. Probably the
dependencies could be fine tuned a little ...
Anyway, after installing k3b, I also verified that nepomuk is not
started automatically, so the downside of using k3b on a non-KDE machine
seems to be only a lot of wasted space on the harddisk.
