Do certain systems hate Linux?

Default version of Firefox (might be 20) on Ubuntu 12.10 (when he used 
it last)
'Clear History' - used frequently
Yeah.. every site is affected
Earlier - a broadband connection, shared among 5 systems via a wireless 
router
Now - a broadband connection, unshared
