One thing you might want to try before taking the server down is to run
wireshark or something on one of local devices(10.10.x.y) [or set up a
set of access-lists(if cisco) at the GW device(10.10.0.1)] and ping it
from the server in question, so that you can determine if the packets
are leaving the server/NIC or not. If you see those are arriving and the
pinged device is responding normally, you can probably rule out NIC
hardware issues.
