Gutenprint and print drivers

Using Ubuntu 13.04.  I have installed a Canon ip4300 printer using the
printer wizard and it functions mostly ok but has a few small issues.
In System Settings > Printers > Properties > Make and Model it says
"Canon PIXMA iP4300 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9" which I presume means
that it using the driver from Gutenprint 5.2.9.  However apt-cache
policy gutenprint shows that it is not installed, so I am a bit
confused.  Can anyone elucidate?
