Asterisk IVR Sounds

There are a bunch of packages that say sound on them. I'm not sure what
they are for. Do you know if these are the sound files for IVR menues?

I thought there was a way to get asterisk to make menu sounds without
having to record anything. I could be wrong. I haven't done anything with
asterisk in years.
