Maybe the most interesting thing there is the coreboot project. Looks
like if your motherboard has a UEFI that causes you problems, you just
flash it with something else that works properly. So long as it's not
been bolted down to prevent you flashing anything other than another
UEFI......
Has anybody on the list tried using coreboot? It's a long while since I
last flashed a BIOS but I seem to recall that motherboards these days
have a fallback mechanism in case you "brick it". I have to say that I
think I'd prefer this to some clever boot loader signed by Them Who
Shall Not Be Named.
