Evince Save copy no longer works as expected

I've only used Evince for viewing. I wonder if your case is why a number of
distros have dropped Evince and use another viewer. One thing i've not
understood with linux viewer's is embedded fonts. In windoze one used to embed
or not and that may be connected with your case. I'm switching to emacs for
most things now but that only reads pdf it has made not from Abiword or
LO-writer.
In your case i wonder what has changed in the pdf format... beyond my knowledge
but seems likely to me.
