Ubuntu on UEFI and Win 8

I can't speak to dual booting, but getting UEFI settings correct on a
Gigabyte motherboard can be a pain. They have separate UEFI settings for
hard drive and video, and getting them just right to work with the raid
cards and the onboard video card required a lot of testing and rebooting.

For example with the video, I had to enable the 'Legacy' settings or Ubuntu
booted to a blank screen. 

Its working perfectly now.
