Or, you could replace the fan and heatsink with a much quieter and more
efficient one. They're not that expensive. I replaced mine with one from
Quiet PC. The fan is a 120mm very quiet fan, and keeps the idle temperature
to about 36C, according to the bios. I have a fairly large case and
the heatsink I've got is quite large, but you can get various sizes. Of
course, that's not the only fan - I have three case fans ... and then
there's the PSU. But they're large and quiet.
