If you are not running 12.10, then you might be in luck.
Emphasis on 'might'.

Try

    *sudo add-apt-repository *ppa:frederik-elwert/transcribe* *
    *sudo apt-get update*
    *sudo apt-get install* *transcribe*

it will prompt you
