Invest Applet under 12.04 LTS (Cinnamon Desktop) **Can NOT add to panel**

You can't put GNOME 2 applets on the Cinnamon panel. Cinnamon is based
on GNOME 3 and GTK3; GNOME 2 was written with GTK2 and thus GNOME 2
applets won't work on GTK3 desktops.
