Can xubuntu dual-boot with Windows 8?

Be sure the bios boot order specifies boot from cd/dvd before from internal
disk.
If that is already the case, then are you sure your DVD's
are OK? Have they booted before?
If yes, then I can only think that you are the victim
of the new secure bios that requires a Microsoft signed booter/OS
(something like that).
