LibreOffice3 Impress crashing?

When Karl said a virgin 12.04 install I assumed he meant a different
machine, but your question made me realise it could be a different
boot on the same machine.  If so does the virgin install use the same
/home partition as the other failing one?  If so then try it with a
different user logged in.
