Android Studio with multi monitors

Is anyone using Android Studio with multi monitors?  I am trying on
Ubuntu 13.10 (Unity) and very often AS hangs on startup if I have both
monitors connected.  With only one it is solid, and I can connect the
other after startup and all is then well.  I have tried both openjdk
and oracle 7 java.

I submitted a bug [1].
