Run nVidia-x server settings, which should be in your system folder on 
your menu, and IF it runs, and displays video information plus settings, 
then the driver is healthy and not a consideration.

p/s if you cd into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ do you see this?

You should be rocking and rolling if your results agree. Installing 
adobe directly just might hose things past the realm of audience
