Ubuntu, Java and Proxmox Console failure

I have successfully installed Proxmox on my server but I now cannot get 
access to any VM's that I install because I cannot get the built in 
console to work.  It just never connects.  From what I've read this is a 
Java error, but I've installed and confirmed Java 7 to be installed and 
running correctly.  Still no luck with the console in Proxmox.

Any one have any luck with this at all?  Is it just my machines?  3 
running Ubuntu 13.04 have failed and one running Ubuntu 13.10 has failed.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
