Audio Interface support

I have a Zoom H4n since a few years back. It has a USB port which allows it
to be connected to a PC or a Mac. This can be done in two ways:
1. As a mass storage device
2. As an audio interface.
I have a PC and the only operating system I have is Ubuntu 12.04. Of course
option 1 works perfectly, but I never need it as an audio interface. Still
I'm curious, so I plugged it in and selected the audio interface mode, and
it worked out of the box!
Anyway, the H4n has some shortcomings, and now there's a new model called
H6 which, as far as I know, doesn't have those shortcomings (I downloaded
the user manual and read it carefully…).
Now, just like the H4n, the user manual says nothing about Linux support,
only Windows and MacOS is mentioned. Still the H4n works with Ubuntu at
least.
Now my question:
Did anyone on this list buy a H6? If so, does it work in audio interface
mode in Ubuntu?
I'm also interested in the Zoom R24 in that matter…
