Cannot boot new base Ubuntu Server 13.04 installation on Mac Mini 6, 1

It's WORKING.

Short version: I used the instructions here:
http://glandium.org/blog/?p=2830 with some modifications for Ubuntu
and this machine. I also created a PPA for the mactel-boot hfs-bless
utility, because it's been four years and no-one else has. See:
https://launchpad.net/~detly/+archive/mactel-boot

Long version can wait until tomorrow :)

The funny thing is, stumbling across those instructions was pure
coincidence. I'd given up for a bit, and decided to read more about
EFI, UEFI, bootloaders, etc... and found that! It was only because I'd
read all those links that Patrick and others posted that I realised it
could work.

I still have some teething problems: first I'll get rid of that
annoying delay before booting. Next up will be investigating why
"poweroff" doesn't, in fact, turn the "power" "off". Then...
everything else.

Thanks everyone.
