slow internet

I am using Ubuntu 13.04 on an HP with a BCM wireless adapater.  Several
times a day internet access gets very slow for about the past week.   I
followed the advice at

However the problem continues.   A reboot straightens things out.   As the
problem can occur several times a day, it is getting rather annoying.  The
other computer using the same router is not having any problems.

How should I trouble shoot this?
