Unix copy method not working for gnome terminal

hi, it was in my first email:
vim 7.3.429 in a GNOME Terminal 3.4.1.1 on ubu 12.04.

Again problem explanation:
open a gnome terminal, do `cat filename.txt`, highlight-copy
the contetnt with the link mouse button, open a 2nd terminal,
middle-click on it to paste the content.

It doenst work for me. Can anybody reproduce that?
