Folks,

I finally upgrade to 12.04.1 from 11.10 last week.

After the upgrade I noticed.
    1. The weather information in the title bar clock applet of my Gnome
desktop is gone.
    2. The sound icon at the top right side of the Gnome desktop title
bar is gone.
    3. The scanning software doesn't find my printer/scanner.
        a. *gscan2pdf* (my default, which always worked before) returns
the error,
                "Error opening device: Invalid argument"
        b. *Simple Scan* returns the error,
                "Failed to scan"
                "Unable to connect to scanner"
        c. *Xsane Image scanning program* returns the error,
                "Failed to open device 'brother2:bus3;dev1':"
                "Invalid argument."
    4. Thunderbird font control has changed.
    5. Pressing the *Print Scrn/SysRq* key, whether the *Alt* key is
pressed or not, no
longer brings up a dialogue box that allows a name change or
saving to the clip
       board.
    6. *gedit* cuts off both the top and left side of the text even
though *Print Preview*
shows the entire text. The 'scale' remains the same regardless of
whether *Scale*
in the *Page Setup* tab is set to 100% or 90%.

Does anyone know why these things disappeared,no longer work, or have
changed behaviour after the upgrade?
