Connecting with Vodafone DSL router

Hi,

An "educated guess" tells me that your router is actually made by Huawei.

I also had problems and still do sometimes (although not using 3g but
ADSL), and honestly I could not find any other reason for the problems
except for the networking devices (ISPs devices -- they're all Huawei).
I would recommend to try and isolate the problem, and see if you can plug
the 3g module directly into your laptop, or ideally in something running
24/7 (and then maybe connect the router as a simple Access Point so you
still have wifi). If by eliminating the router you don't experience the
same problems, then I guess you've nailed it! :-)
