I'm seeing entries like this in /var/lib/apt-lists:
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_main_binary-amd64_Packages
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_main_binary-i386_Packages
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_Release
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_Release.gpg
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_restricted_binary-amd64_Packages
Ubuntu%2012.04%20LTS%20%5fPrecise%20Pangolin%5f%20-%20Release%20amd64%20(20120423)_dists_precise_restricted_binary-i386_Packages
It seems that update works just fine, and then it stalls a bit about
half way through, and produces errors where it seems to reconnect to
sites it already checked and then fails. This is maddening.
I've tried the usual commands, and googled my rear off. So far, no love.
So, I figure those entries must be misshapen. I don't want to rm stiff
willy nilly. Thanks, Ric
