Go ahead and cackle, but if the card works in the camera, but digikam can't 
access it because its an 8G card, then the same deductive logic that has 
paid me well for 60 years, even getting me accused of walking on water a 
few times, says its a digikam problem.  And it will generally take 
technically accurate, detailed, and fits the clues arguments to convince 
this old fart that it really is the phase of the moon. ;-)
